Ready-to-drink cocktails mostly look like energy drinks. Loud, synthetic, in a hurry.
This one is a limoncello spritz from Sorrento, so it should feel like the Amalfi coast in 1961:
Dolce Vita, not a nightclub.
Reminiscent of the bright striped umbrellas that line the Amalfi shoreline, colour runs in bands across every can. Lemon is the base in all six. Each one lifts it with a second fruit — orange, blood orange, lime, strawberry, blueberry — so the range stays one drink in six moods.
The word-mark is heavy and condensed, with a lemon dropped into the O; the coast's famous fruit, hiding in plain sight. A loose script underneath, as though scrawled on the back of a receipt at the lido bar.
Long lunch, slow afternoon, sun, a cold can. Il dolce far niente, in 355ml.
